The FBI arrested Ted Kaczynski Apr. 4 1996 for 16 attacks over the previous 17 years against universities and the tecnological elite. Kaczynski pleaded guilty in 1998 to his bombing spree that began in 1979 and killed three people and injured 23. Kaczynski, dubbed the UNABOMBER, lived alone in a remote cabin in Montana and led authorities on the nation's longest and costliest manhunt.
